I forgot to post this when I first found them... tsk.

They aren't as cute when they are this small, hm?
I am confident I found these within a day or two of their birth.  They were lucky to be alive.
According to iPhoto, these were taken on the 28th of July.  I've already seen big differences in their growth. Same with the previous fish.  I'll be posting growth updates about mid-month for all the young fish, as well as the snails.

Well, my Platy does, to be more specific.

Some may remember awhile back, where I posted about a tiny fish that showed up in my aquarium. I said that I would post updates as the little girl grew... and then never mentioned it again.  The fact is that before I was able to get something proper to keep the little booger safe, she disappeared. Presumably, into the belly of one of the larger fish.  That is why I went and bought a net breeder and a few 'rootscape' plastic plants soon after.  I wanted to make sure the next fry that made their way into my tank would have a safe place to be.

As luck would have it, I spotted this new baby hanging around the rootscapes this morning.  I don't think she is more than a few days old at the most, but I could be wrong. I keep a pretty good eye on the aquarium, but a young fish could easily hide in quite a few places of my aquarium.  I quickly positioned my net breeder and netted her into safety.  A few hours ago, I took these pictures using a cut off 2-liter bottle as a holder for her.

Anyways, I can't help but feel bad for any fry I may have missed.  From my understanding, livebearers (That is, fish that give birth to live young rather than laying eggs) such as platys will give birth to several at a time.  This must be the lucky one.

Once I am done treating my Panda Cory Cat, I will clean out my quarantine tank and move the netbreeder there, so it isn't taking up room in my display tank.

(PS: Photobucket/Livejournal interface is acting wonky.  I'll try to fix it later.)

Inside: Pictures of snail growth, and a new addition to the tank!

Oh, as for the show... ummm... well, nothing too special about this week, just the regular shuffle.  But know that I AM planning the shuffle this time, so it should sound good. Should.
